Ingredients

  • ½ head green cabbage, thinly sliced

  • 1 apple, thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp caraway seeds

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • Salt + black pepper

  • Optional: a small drizzle of honey

Directions:

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat and toast the caraway for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.

  2. Add the cabbage, apple, and a pinch of salt.

  3. Cook, stirring now and then, for 8–10 minutes, until tender and a little browned at the edges.

  4. Finish with the vinegar, black pepper, and honey if using.

Where it goes: next to sausage, pork chops, or roast chicken, or alongside the caraway roasted potatoes for a full caraway takeover.
